Brief history

The Department of Normal Physiology was created in 1940. At the origins of the Department was the widely known to the worldwide legendary physiologist – ecologist Abram Donovich Slonim. He headed the Department from 1940 to 1944. Under his leadership, 104 dissertations were defended, including 29 doctoral dissertations.

From 1944 to 1950 the Department was headed by Professor of the Institute of physiology named after I. P. Pavlov - Georgy Pavlovich Konradi.

After the departure of G. P. Conradi in Leningrad, he was replaced by Leningrad Professor Semion Maksimilianovich Dionesov - head of the Department from 1950 to 1953.

For almost 20 years from 1953 to 1972 the Department was headed by honored worker of science, doctor of medical Sciences, Professor Yevgeny Ivanovich Bakin - one of the pioneers - radiobiologists of Russia.

From 1973 to 2007 the Department was headed by academician of National Academy of Sciences, laureate of the State prize of the Kyrgyz Republic, doctor of medical Sciences, Professor Sanjarbek Bakirovich Daniyarov, who is a brilliant pupil and follower of A. D. Slonim, and G. P. Conradi. He prepared 30 candidates and doctors of Sciences and published 260 scientific papers, including 8 monographs, dozens of manuals.

Since 2008, the head of the Department became a student of S. B. Daniyarov MD, Professor Kononets Irina. She has published more than 200 scientific works, including 3 monographs, 31 textbooks and manuals, 5 innovation proposals, writing two chapters of the textbook "Principles of human physiology" for high schools of the CIS Universities under the editorship of RAMS academician B. I. Tkachenko. Under her leadership, 3 master's theses are defended, 3 master's and 1 doctoral dissertations are carried out.

Scientific work

The foundations of the scientific activity of the department were laid by Professor A.D. Slonim, who headed this department from the day of its foundation until 1944. Professor A.D. Slonim and his students studied the mechanisms of adaptation to the mountain climate and the influence of mountain climatic and other natural factors of local resorts on the human body Under the supervision of A.D. Slonim defended their PhD theses of A.G. Ponugaev, A.F. Filatov, K. Chukhin and A.A. Morozov

Professor G.P. Konradi, who headed the department from 1944 to 1949, focused on the study of the mechanisms of regulation of blood circulation in a state of relative rest and in high-altitude conditions. PhD dissertations of V.P. Rassolova, A.P. Kandel, I.N. Kantorovich, Z.A. Lupinskaya were defended.

From 1950 to 1953, Professor S.M. Dionesov headed the Department of Normal Physiology. Under his leadership, the problems of pain and anesthesia were developed at the department.

From 1953 to 1972, when Professor E.I. Bakin headed the department, the department studied the issues of adaptation to extreme factors and for the first time in the republic began the study of radiation damage. A radiobiological and x-ray laboratory was organized. 3 doctoral dissertations were defended (I.N. Kantorovich, S.B. Daniyarov, Z.A. Lupinskaya) and 4 candidate dissertations (B. Moldotashev, V.M. Prokudin, Z.A. Gazina, O.Ya. Happy) were defended.

From 1972 to 2008, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz SSR, MD, Professor S.B.Daniyarov headed the department. The scientific work of the department was devoted to the study of adaptation to the factors of the highlands, the mechanisms of the influence of radiation damage, reactions    of the blood, cardiovascular and immune systems of the body under the isolated effects of ionizing radiation and together with the effects of high-altitude factors.

Under the guidance of Professor S.B.Daniyarov were defended the doctoral dissertations of A.H.Karasaeva, I.E. Kononets, B.K. Tynalieva and candidate works of T.N. Naumova, R.M. Salieva, L.V. Plekhina, N.E. Tyurekanova, Z.E. Esenbekova, A.K. Kalmambetova, G.V. Katkalov.

Since 2008, the main direction of scientific activity of the department is the study of health and mechanisms of regulation of vegetative functions of schoolchildren and students in the conditions of the mountainous climate of Kyrgyzstan.

Under the guidance of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor I.E. Kononets are carried out at the department scientific works on the following topics:

  • «Hormonal-metabolic, hematological and immunological features of university students – natives of various mountain heights of Kyrgyzstan», applicant acting associate professor Tsopova I.A.
  • «Features of vegetative regulation of cardiohemodynamics, respiration and physical development of children and adolescents aged 10-17 years living in the mountainous climate of Kyrgyzstan», applicant teacher Uralieva Ch.K.
  • «Physical development and functional state of the autonomic nervous system of schoolgirls aged 10-17 years in low mountains», applicant teacher Adaeva A.M.
  • «Psychophysiological characteristics of college students with different specializations», applicant teacher Kalykeeva A.A.
  • «The relationship of polymorphisms of thrombophilia genes and hemostasis parameters in medical students», graduate student Alymova A.B.
Under the guidance of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor B.K.Tynalievais being carried scientific work out on the topic «Functional state of the body in people who have undergone COVID-19 in conditions of mountain hypoxia», applicant associate professor Saidyldaeva A.B.
