Today, October 23, 2019 at the I.K. Akhunbaev hosted an event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Batken events. Participants of the local battle told the students about what happened in the Batken region that year in connection with the attack of international terrorists.

And the 3rd year student of the KSMA Dina Kurmanalieva made a short report on the meaning and lessons of the fight against terrorism. Some students read their poems about the exploits of our soldiers. Patriotic songs were sung. A number of teachers of KSMA were awarded with distinctive signs, medals and certificates of the public association "Republican Council of War Veterans in Batken". Among them are the rector of the university Indira Kudaibergenova (medal "For contribution to the support of veterans"), vice-rector Keneshbek Yrysov (badge "Participant of the Batken War"), vice-rector Erkin Alymbaev (medal "For contribution to support of veterans"), teacher Almaz Karymbaev (badge "Veteran of the Batken War"), head teacher of the Department of Military Medical Training and Extreme Medicine Pavel Ten (badge "Participant of the Batken War").
