Yesterday, on February 18, 2019, the I. K. Akhunbaev Medical Academy of Kyrgyzstan hosted a literary and musical evening dedicated to the World Mother Language Day. During the evening, students of different nationalities competed in language skills: they read poems in their native dialects, sang their national songs, and also talked about the role and place of different languages in the formation of personality.

The participants of the evening were warmly congratulated by the rector of the university, Professor Indira Kudaibergenova and official representatives of public organizations who came to support future doctors. Active participants of the evening were awarded with incentive prizes.

The initiative to hold an event of an educational and cultural nature belongs to the staff of the Department of the Kyrgyz language of the university.
