On June 27, 2018, representatives of the I. K. Akhunbayev Medical Academy of Kyrgyzstan and the University of Eastern Finland (UVF) held a joint round table on the prospects for cooperation in the field of public health between the two universities. The purpose of the event is to familiarize foreign specialists with the health system of our republic and the educational programs of the KSMА in the field of public health in order to prepare applications in the future within the framework of the European Union "Erasmus+"projects.

Rector of KSMА, Professor Indira Kudaibergenova met with Rosanna Ovento, Coordinator of Global and Transnational Education at UVF, and Annika Manniko, International Coordinator of the Institute of Public Health and Clinical Nutrition at UVF. During the meeting, important points were discussed and important details of further cooperation were clarified.

The guests from Finland visited the Biomedical Laboratory and other relevant departments and departments of the Medical Academy, and also had a talk with the responsible employees of the Department of International Relations of the university about the possibilities of student exchange.
