Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev expands international relations

Today, May 17, 2019 at the KSMA named after I.K. Akhunbaev, several events took place related to the international activities of the university. First, Professor Emeritus Jan de Maziner, physician, lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ghent (Belgium), delivered a lecture for 6th year medical students on the topic “The role of the family doctor”. The lecture was held in an interactive manner, students had the opportunity to express their opinions and improve their understanding of the tasks, functions and role of the family doctor.

A week of presentations on internships / courses for students, citizens of India, faculty of “General Medicine in English” was over today.

The presentations were held by Sunil Verma, representative of the company "Quality Care India Limited", employee of the international department for the UIS countries "Care Group Hospitals." In the afternoon, the rector of the Medical Academy, Professor Indira Kudaibergenova received associate professors of the St. Petersburg Medical and Social Institute Irina Sherbovich and Marina Konovtsova. During the meeting, the parties agreed to conclude a framework agreement in the field of academic mobility of students and teachers, to work in the development of advanced training courses, scientific research, and additional postgraduate education and specialization programs.

Peter's representatives also visited the KSMA Plastination Museum.
