Erasmus Mundus Master Program in infectious Diseases and One Health IDOH

Description of the program:

IDOH (Infectious Diseases and One Health) is a partnership of some of Europe's leading research-intensive universities in the field of infectious diseases and the "one health" concept. The three founding partners are Université de Tours, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Hannover Medical School.

The IDOH consortium is aiming to offer innovative master’s degree in infectious diseases emphasising the three aspects of the one health concept: humans, animals and the environment. The IDOH MSc programme involves mobility of students among the partners and associate partners. There will be a maximum of 24 students in each intake, ensuring that all students receive the highest level of teaching and interactions with staff at all three institutions.

All the courses in the IDOH programme are compulsory. A list of all the courses you will study is given below.
4th Semester Internship worldwide
Infectious Diseases and One Health Internships are available at three academic partners or any of 35 associated partners (academic and industrial) located worldwide.

The IDOH programme consists of 4 semesters of 30 ECTS credits each, making 2 years and 120 ECTS credits in total. The mobility structure, with a change in location each semester, gives students a wide educational experience, being taught by experts in One Health, infectious diseases, translational medicine and immunology in three premier universities.

Semester 1 covers basic immunology and infectious diseases. Semester 2 focusses on epidemiology and risk mitigation. Semester 3 covers translational medicine and diagnostics. Semester 4 is taken up with the research project, performed as a placement in industry or an internship in any full or associate partner institute.

English Language Requirements

All applicants must provide evidence of their English language ability. The accepted forms of evidence are shown here. Please check this information carefully and make sure that you have the appropriate documents/evidence as your application will otherwise not be considered.

Nationality of one of the exempt countries as defined by UK Visas and Immigration. Please read this carefully as many countries where all teaching is in English are NOT included in the list. Students who have degrees from these countries will have to provide evidence of English competency. Please note that a statement from your university that you were taught in English is not acceptable evidence. 

OR

An undergraduate or master’s degree, that was taught and assessed in English in a majority English speaking country as defined by UK Visas and Immigration

OR

An undergraduate or master’s degree from a university on the list of approved universities in non-majority English speaking countries.

OR

A certificate of English competency from one of the following agencies, at the standard indicated:

 

IELTS Academic: total 6.5 (at least 6.0 in each module) TOEFL-iBT: total 92 (at least 20 in each module) PTE(A): total 61 (at least 56 in each of the "Communicative Skills" sections; the "Enabling Skills" sections are not considered) CAE and CPE: total 176 (at least 169 in each module) Trinity ISE: ISE II with distinctions in all four components

Degrees taught and assessed in English must be no more than two and a half years old at the beginning of your degree programme or must be no more than three and a half years old from the date of the programme you are applying to study for CAE and CPE tests.
